The lineart for this I drew like.. back in '02ish. xP back when I was a Digimon nut.
Anyways, its Garurumon, from the First Season of Digimon.
I came across it, and was bored, so I decided to try a new technique of shading. Didn't turn out the best, but oh well.
I did use a ref pic (the original had Matt, Tai, and Augumon), but that was 5 years ago. I've no idea where the original lies now. But credit to the original artist who came up with the pose. x)
And I know it has alot of flaws. I barely tweaked the lineart, wasn't really trying to hard.
I hope you are properly ashamed of yourself. Nothing is more disgusting that someone who traces another's work and passes it off as their own.

I am no great artist. I don't think I'm better than you. The art world has a disease, and I'm trying to cure it. This mission isn't for fame, it's for what I hold dear.
Please do your research before you accuse people of tracing. Theres nothing wrong with using an image for a reference. I superimposed my image over the one I used for a reference and you can clearly see that it is not traced. In fact, mine is very poorly done compaired to the reference.
Feel free to super impose the image yourself as evidence on your end. You'll find that my muzzle is too thin, the shoulder on mine is farther forward than the image, the spines are all wrong, and that it just doesn't add up, no matter how you distort mine.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
